McHenry Metals Scores High At GolfTest USA

Jacksonville FL – February 15, 2005 – To re-ignite the Gary V. Adams legacy and launch a new series of drivers, fairway woods, and wedges, McHenry Metals Golf put their state-of-the-art technology and newest equipment to the test.

To be relatively new in the industry and go “tee it up” against some of the best in the market was a risky move.  In the end when it was all said and done, not only did the McHenry Metals series match the best, it beat the best.

The McHenry Metals series of TourPure II Drivers, Fairway Metals, and their new Strike Wedges were put to the test recently at the GolfTest USA Company.  Test administrators and other golfers with handicaps from 0-25 rate the performance of clubs based on distance, control, accuracy, feel, and appearance.

Upon completion of the testing, each club is given a numerical rating from 1-10 and ultimately an overall performance mark.  When the overall mark scores an 8.0 or better, the club then is awarded the GolfTest USA Seal of Excellence.

The TourPure II 400 Driver Series that is storming onto the scene has a classic pear-shaped head.  The precision face progression delivers fantastic penetrating ball flight and an optimum launch angle.  Further, its sleek design, easy to stand over appeal, and innovative power rail and power ring from the heritage of the Gary V. Adams design, scored an overall mark of 8.4. Read more.

The TourPure II Fairway Metal Series was equally impressive.  The incredible feel of “maraging steel”, the “low and deep” sole weight, power ring, and center of gravity delivered the power and forgiveness that that appealed to the testing committee.  Available with the same striking technology as the driver, these #3, #5, and #7 woods eliminate the miss-hits from the longer irons and also scored an overall mark of 8.4. Lastly, the new Strike Wedge series went through the testing grounds with an overwhelming response.  This wedge has a unique Tour-proven design feature and provides a multiple bounce angle system that creates amazing versatility and encourages tremendously accurate results and has a comfortable feel.  Everyone can get the ball up and on target with any one of the 52, 56, or 60 degree Strike Wedges.  The new Strike Wedge series received an overall mark of 8.3. A Pinnacle of Golf Technology Returns

Jacksonville FL – February 15, 2005 – McHenry Metals Golf is announcing its product line at the 2005 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida, January 27.  Already in the industry for a few years, McHenry Metals Golf is formally introducing its new line of golf clubs and presenting its vision for the future.

Almost everyone in the golf industry today knows that the “father of the metalwood” is the late Gary V. Adams.  His design and innovative theory also named him “Innovator of the Decade” by the International Network of Golf, “Man of the Year” by the National Golf Association, and the PGA of America’s highest honor – “Ernie Sabrayac Award” for lifetime contributions to the game of golf.  What most don’t know is that Gary V. Adams’ quest for golf club perfection is alive and thriving under the new name; McHenry Metals Golf.

McHenry Metals is as cutting edge today as Gary V. Adams was back in the late 1970’s.  “Although we’re re-igniting the brand as a relative new comer to the current golf market, we want to dispel any notion that McHenry Metals Golf is just another golf club manufacturer” states Vice President: Operations/Marketing Director Kevin Rooney.  Further, “based on Gary’s design heritage and recognition, we’re quickly becoming one of the premium manufacturers in the industry.”

To master this, Rooney said, “We have taken the Gary V. Adams design, added today’s advanced technology, and through Adams designer apprentices, matched today’s ‘low spin’ ball technology and tour player characteristics.”

The new McHenry Metals Golf product line, consisting of the TourPure II Driver, TourPure II Fairway Metal Series, Strike Wedges, and soon to be released Hybrid clubs, can be found at select retailers, select local professionals, and the 2005 PGA Merchandise Show at Booth 3247.  To learn more about McHenry Metals, visit them online at www.mchenrymetals.com or contact them directly at 866-410-2544.
